House. Early C17 in Artisan Mannerist style with C19 south front in similar
style. Red brick, once with fine mortar joints, repointed on gables; plain
tiled roofs. Two storeys and attics with brick cornices over ground and first
floors, string course decoration around edges of gables. Parallel ranges with
stacks to ends. Dutch style outer gables on 3-bay front, shaped gable to centre
bay containing stone armorial plaque. One 4-light casement window in each
gable, five windows across the first floor under gauged brick heads (two to
each outer gable one to cwntre) and four "cross" windows to ground floor under
gauged brick heads. Central brick porch with steep, brick-dentilled gable and
stilted arched top. Square panelled door with cement imposts to gauged brick
arch over fanlight. C19 range set back to left with one gable projecting.
Projecting square bay with brick parapet and string course. Arched panelled
door to ground floor, casement fenestration. Two diagonal stacks to left,
multiple stack to rear. Further single storey extensions set back again to left
end with hip roof. Right hand return front:- shaped gable with stack on apex.
Two windows on first floor and triple arcade to ground floor on round brick piers.
Rear (Garden) Front - C19 copy of entrance front with double range to left.
Double arched entrance porch on round brick piers across centre of ground floor.
