3/26 Grange Farmhouse

- II

Farmhouse. Early C18 and early C19. Squared coursed lias and brick with
Swithland slate roof. Originally probably 3-unit plan. 3 storeys. 5-window range
of 2-light casements reducing at second floor; all with arch-head lights under
flat brick arches, and wood lintels. Central C19 part-glazed door has C20 glazed
porch. Raised in brick from mid point of first floor windows in early C19. Brick
stacks at ridge and end. Early C19 brick extensions to rear. Interior not
inspected but noted as having staircase with stick balustrade around an
open-well, and ceiling beams, now encased.
