Farmhouse and cottage. Late C18 (c.1780) rebuilding of earlier
house; C20 alterations. Coursed squared herringbone-tooled stone;
C20 interlocking tile roof. Garden elevation: 2 storeys, 2:3:2
bays, central block taller and breaking forward. Original openings
on ground floor and on 1st floor of central block have lintels
with raised keystones; projecting sills to windows. Central block:
blind windows to centre bay; wider 3-light 9-pane windows with
central side-sliding lights to outer bays. 2 right-hand bays:
inserted door on left; 6-pane sash to right; two late C20 windows
over. 2 left-hand bays (Church House Cottage): C20 porch on right
masks original doorway; C20 windows. Whole range has shaped
kneelers and stacks to gables, left-hand stack rebuilt in brick,
right-hand stack raised in brick. Rear: central block has doorway
on right and left bay; 2 windows on each floor and stair window all
with raised keystones to lintels; 9-pane stair window, others C20.
Right-hand block is of C20 brick. Interior of farmhouse: in right
room a large open fireplace with timber bressumer and moulded
cornice (similar to that at East Green Beck Farmhouse (q.v.)); old
4-pane doors; dog-leg closed-string stair with stick balusters,
square newels and moulded handrail, ramped at top.
