Irregular 2-storey building by William Butterfield, circa 1885. 3 wide bays on
South side. Coursed rubble with dressed store quoins, window framing and bands.
Chequerwork, of dressed stone alternating with rubble, in gables of porch and
West end. Otherwise roofs are tiled and hipped. 1st floor windows are long,
hipped half-dormers breaking eaves. Windows mainly segment-headed with chamfered
reveals. Rear coach-house and one-storey link.

Church of St Mary Magdalene, its forecourt walls, Ridge End and its forecourt
walls form a group.
