Stables to Rownall Hall (Hall now demolished)

Stables and coach house (now a dwelling). Early C19 with C20
alterations. Coursed dressed and squared stone; tiled roofs behind
verge parapets and with raised eaves band. U-shaped plan. Symmetrical
frontage of 2-storey outer and centre pavilions with single-storey
links of 2 windows; C20 small-pane casements in raised surrounds;
outer pavilions have similar windows (one each) to ground floor below
large low relief medallions with horses' heads to centres; centre
pavilion has tall central round-arch entry with boarded doors; all
have gables of pediment proportions finished at sides by acroteria
and at centre with double horse head crests and acroteria over;
the centre crests are approximately 1.2m high.
