Late C17 or early C18 cottage of 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows. Slated mansard
roof with dormer. C19 incised stucco front viith parapet. Sash windows with broad
frames and glazing bars. C19 door in older frame with cornice hood on brackets.
Graded for association with Charles and Mary Lamb who lived here at the end of
their lives. Charles died here in 1834 and Mary in 1847.
