House. C16, C17, and C19 and C20 alterations. Timber-framed
with C20 rendered infill. Plain tile and slate roof with various
stacks. Hall with cross-wing. Hall range has slate roof. Large
ridge stack, gable stack and coped gable with kneelers to west.
2 storeys and attic. Close-studded north front with scattered
fenestration. Square-framed south front with scattered
fenestration and 2 gabled dormers. West bay probably C19 and
brick, plain tiled, cross wing has large stack on north gable.
South gable has jetty and elaborate timber decoration in form of
lozenges and circles and 2 panes containing Prince of Wales
feathers, beneath 3-light casements. Above on bressumer worn
figures of dog chasing fox chasing geese. Small window above
in gable. East front of cross wing has jetty. 3 bays, with
central doorway with 4-panel door with over-light. Single 3-
light casement to right. Above, a central 2-light flanked by
single 3-light casements. All C20 windows.
INTERIOR: cross wing has heavy closed studding and exposed beams
and joists.
Note: date 1500 or 1506 on south gable.
