A chest tomb and a headstone. a) Horne chest tomb about 2 metres south-south-east of south transept. Early C17. Ham
stone. Base buried; plain sides and flanks; chamfered coving to heavy flat top. Commemorates John Horne, died 1620. b)
Headstone immediately south-east of a). Probably early C18. Ham stone, about 900mm x 800mm x ll0mm thick, chamfered
back: triple scroll top of unusual type locally, forming a skull: two panels with arrowed centre drop, the panels
having wide-shouldered semi-circular arched heads. Inscriptions very worn.
