HUNGARTON

SK 60 NE MAIN STREET (East Side)

2/44 Sycamore Farmhouse


GV II

House. Dated 1769. Red and buff brick, chequer pattern, with rubble stone
plinth and Swithland slate roof, hipped to left, with brick ridge and end
stacks. 4 in all. Brick dentilled eaves. L plan, wing projecting to rear
on left, down Church Lane. 2 storeys and basement of 2 3-light horizontal
sliding sash windows. Central blank frame. On ground floor a similar 3-light
either side a 2-light fixed light, probably C20 alteration from original doorway.
2-Light stone mullion basement window below. On left end and wing 3 similar
3-light sashes both floors and 3 blank windows. Cambered lintels to ground
floor here and on front. Door to rear.
