farmbuilding of
Huntington Old Hall.
GV II
Formerly farmbuilding, now storage: late C18 with early C19 addition.
Flemish bond orange brick on stone plinth. Partly Welsh slate roof,
partly concrete tile. L-shaped plan. Long west front has 9 rebated,
semi-circular headed doorways to feeding passages between pairs of
shippons. Above are 2 circular pitch holes with stone sills and 3
larger inserted rectangular openings. Smaller south range is an
addition but is similar though somewhat altered.
Interior: Layout survives intact with pointed fading openings to each
pair of stalls. Large brick arches in the barn area above.
