House, c.1600 and later, timber framed and plastered, of 2 storeys with 3
parallel, gabled, peg tile roofs. Front to White Street has, under the gable,
which has imitation timber framing, 3 double hung sash windows, with central,
vertical glazing bars. On the ground floor, a central double hung sash windowed
canted bay. To the W are 2 double hung sashes as above and to the E, an early
C19 flat hooded and pilastered doorcase and one further double hung sash. A
number of C19 red brick stacks, one exposed on E flank wall. Interior reveals a
2 bay, timber framed house of c.1600, formerly jettied to street and with
elegantly shaped jowls. In rear wall, a moulded chamfer indicates the position
of former, wide mulliioned and transomed window the mortices for which can be
seen.
