House. Late C16 or early C17. Timber frame on brick base. Rendered and
weatherboarded. Tiled roofs. 2 bay hall range with crosswing and 2 small
gabled wings. All 2 storeys. Original front no longer has entrance.
Catslide roof over lean-to in place of probable original lobby entry on
left bay of hall range. Stack rebuilt in C19 red brick. Crosswing
projects to left, weatherboarded ground floor with a C20 casement, first
floor 2 light small pane flush frame casement, exposed plates and
purlins. Left return has an entrance, ground floor weatherboarding, a
projecting slightly lower gabled wing, towards rear a ground floor 4
light casement. Right gable end has first floor 2 light small pane
casement, ground floor and attic C20 windows. To rear: ground floor 3
light flush iron frame casement, crosswing 2 light small pane casements.
Full height probable stair wing projects to rear where hall and wing
meet, weatherboarded ground floor with a 2 light casement entrance in
return, small light in gabled attic. Interior: newel stair. Attached to
left is a low 1 storey outbuilding, weatherboarded, slate roofed with 2
doors and a 2 light casement.
