House, C15 with C16 alterations. 2 storeys, 4 windows. Timber-framed, rendered
with some herringbone pargetting. Thatched roof, hipped at right-hand end; C17
axial chimney of red brick. C19 2 and 3-light casements and boarded entrance
door with C20 thatched gabled open porch. A 2-bay open hall (floored over C16)
with storeyed parlour and service ends. Cross-passage entry, within service-
end - a rare feature in Suffolk (C16 or C17 chimney inserted into cross-
passage). Both cross-passage door arches survive, blocked. Plain clasped-purlin
roof, slightly sooted. Good unmoulded timber-framing exposed internally.
