SO 51 SW NEWLAND BREWERY TERRACE

Nos 1 - 7 (consecutive),
3/69 including central wash-house

Row of 7 cottages and communal wash-house built for workers in
nearby malthouse which has now largely disappeared. Early C19.
Rendered, slate roof with decorative ridge tiles, 6 brick ridge
stacks of which 3 are paired. Single range and rear outshut.
One storey and attic. 2 gable dormers with paired casements.
One paired and one single casement to grounds floor. Central
gabled porch with fishscale slates, finial and bargeboard. Very
few alterations have been made to the terrace, most of the boarded
doors survive. No 2 has extended and glazed the porch but kept
the gable line.
