GV II Town Farm House )

Barns, now light industrial. C14 and C16. Timber framed with black boarding
and gabled pegtile roof. An 'L' plan complex with a former 2 storey granary
with remnants of diamond mullioned windows on the road frontage. This is part
red brick on its east side returning on the northern flank. The main barn is of
7 bays, aisled on both sides with 2 large midstreys with jettied gables on the
west side. Of reused C14 components with large jowled posts, simple crown post
roof with longitudinal bracing and mortices for former first floor. Probably
former monastic granary moved from priory site after the Dissolution. RCHM 16.
