House. Mid C16 and late C16 or early C17 with C18 and C19 additions
and alterations. Front range: late C16 or early C17. Timber-framed,
rendered, with plain tile roof. 2 storeys on stone plinth with
continuous bracketted jetty which returns round left end with
dragon post. Roof hipped to right. C19 gable with projecting
eaves, moulded bargeboards and finial, to left. Rear stack towards
left end and small projecting stack at right end. 4 timber-framed
bays. Irregular fenestration of 4 C19 3-light casements. Central
C19 panelled door with narrow half-glazed panels either side of door
jambs, all under flat hood on carved brackets. Rear wing to right:
mid C16. Timber framed, clad in brick, with plain-tile roof. 2
storeys on plinth. C19 roof., hipped to rear. Brick ridge stack to
centre. 5 timber-framed bays. Rear wing to left: mid-to-late C18.
Brick ground floor with light framing above, all rendered. One
bay wide, parallel to rear of main block. 2 storeys, jettied and
gabled to left to match front range in C19. Minor C18 and C19
additions to right end elevation of whole house. Interior:
Exposed beams, posts. The only remaining pre C19 Manor House of
3 formerly in the village.
