Bridge. C17 and C19. Inscription over centre arch dated 1698.
Rubble, with brick parapet and approaching walls, with C19 red
brick extension and causeway to east. Originally of 3 chamfered
arches, with 2 battered piers on north side. Extended in red
brick after 1810, to form one other arch over river, and 6 smaller
arches for causeway. 4 pointed cut waters on south side, 2 brick,
2 stone. Inscription: 'Built by the Parish and NOT by the Country.
Thomas Caster and Richard Austen SURWEIGHERS.'
