House, now 2 houses. C15 with mid C19 additions, restored
1939-40. Timber-framed with rendered infilling. Ground floor
of left side elevation uncoursed stone with red brick dressings.
Plain tile roof. Wealden of 2 roughly equal open hall bays with
storeyed bay at either end. 2 storeys on plinth. Close-studded.
Right and left end bays jettied; left jetty returns along side
elevation on moulded dragon post, vestigial jetty to right side,
possibly with cut back dragon post. Curved braces to flying wall-
plate and solid bracket beneath central tie-beam. Roof hipped,
with very large gablets. Small corbelled brick stack in rear
slope of roof off-centre to left, large projecting red brick stack
on stone base to right end. Mid C19 stack to left side elevation
of rear wing. Irregular fenestration of four 3-light leaded
casements. Boarded doors; to Poll hill towards rear of left side
elevation and to Little Poll to left end of right end bay. (Original
door probably left end of hall where cross-passage suggested by
studding). Mid C19 rear wing to left: chequered red and grey brick
with plain tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 leaded first-floor casements.
