House. Probably early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond with painted stone and
gauged brick dressings, graduated slate roof. Two storeys plus attic, 3 bays
symmetrical facade. Central bay with full-height elliptical-arched recess with
gauged brick arch. Stone plinth with three central steps up to 5-panel door
below traceried fanlight in moulded semi-circular headed architrave with imposts
and panelled reveals, and pilastered surround with reeded consoles, dosserets,
frieze and cornice. To either side are tripartite bow windows with brick plinths,
stone sills and moulded cornices; 12-pane sashes to fronts and 8-pane sashes
to sides with pilasters between and to corners. First floor: ashlar band; three
12-pane sashes all with stone wedge lintels incised with voussoirs, that to centre
slightly shorter and with panelled stone apron below, those to sides with stone
sills. Timber eaves board. Stone coped gables with brick end stacks and remains
of central ridge stack. Semi-circular headed attic windows to gable returns.
