Mid-late C17 restored 1930s. Two and a half storeys rubble with stone tile
roof. One large ridge chimney with 4 attached diagonal shafts. Two nipped
dormers. Five bays. Central gabled tower porch with a 3 light window on
first floor and a 4 centre arched moulded doorway below. The studded door
has diamond pattern strap hinges (see also Sevenhampton House qv) and a knocker
dated "16ACE50". Modern inner door.
Four ranges of 4 light mullion windows (all new) with drips and relieving
arches (except for later right hand bay). lead main water pipes to each side
dated 1933.
Rear: projecting gabled stair-turret and a central chimney break, to left
of which is a Tudor arch doorway (renovated); 2 projecting wings, the left
hand one modern.
Interior a number of features, eg Tudor arch fireplaces, retained and others,
eg hall fireplace, imported. Moulded plank and muntin partition at north
end of hall.
