Datestone I W M. One and a half storey thatched cottage. Rubble. One brick

chimney on ridge. Three eyebrow dormers, 2 light casements, and 3 ground floor
windows, one formerly a door. Timber lintels. Door left of centre with datestone
over. This was the model of the house of the principal character in "The Gamekeeper
at Home" by Richard Jefferies (1848-87), poet-naturalist, a local man.
