Large house, formerly a handed pair. Dated 1745, though probably late C.18.
Hammer dressed stone. Quoins. -Stone slate roof with chamfered gable
copings on cut kneelers. Large central stack. Two storeys. Symmetrical
facade. Entrance to left and right, the former blocked. 4-light window
with recessed mullions to each dwelling, both floors, those to ground floor
having recessed lower lintel. Central enriched datestone, possibly reset,
with foliage decoration and raised letters I R 1745. Left gable has
four, tall, C.19 2-light chamfered windows, 2 to each floor, with hood
moulds, all blocked. Rear elevation has four 4-light windows each with
2 mullions removed, except ground floor left, adjoining doorway, which has
been converted to a 3-light window.
