5/129 Oversley Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse, now 2 houses. Early C17. Timber framed, small framing with brick
infill. Tile roof with central lias stack and brick shaft. 2-unit baffle
entry plan, made T-plan by late C18/early C19 and late C19 additions. 2
storeys, 2-window range. Central C19 plank door with glazed panel in simply
moulded wood surround. C19 wood and iron casements throughout. Late C19
brick gabled cross wing projecting far forward on right has door, and window to
each floor. To rear late C18/early C19 brick with cornice of diagonally set
headers. Cross wing on left of coursed lias with weatherboarded gable has
ground floor bay window, casements with glazing bars. Right wall of wing has
6-panelled door with hood on shaped brackets. Left wall has big external
stack. Interior not inspected. Mid C20 single storey addition across gable
end of main range.
