Barn and cowhouse, now outbuilding, and three cottages, now two. Mid C19. For Mrs Stansfield of Thorpe House. Coursed squared stone, ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof. T-shaped plan.
South front: two storeys, three bays (cowhouse, barn and cottage) with cross-wing (two cottages) on right. Central gabled bay breaks forward and has tall pointed-arch cart-entry with double board door under hoodmould; band; five stepped lancet vents in triangular-headed recess to gable; kneelers and coping. Cowhouse on left and cottage on right each have board door in quoined segment-arched surround on outside of two-light quoined chamfered mullion window; ground floor hoodmould; corbelled chamfered first floor band; four paired lancets in wide recess to first floor. Roof half-hipped to left with finial. Cross-wing: plinth; on each floor two four-pane sashes in chamfered quoined surrounds with hoodmoulds; lintel bands; in gable round window with panel tracery; kneelers, coping finial.
Rear: main range has tall central two-light window flanked by shorter two-light windows; oculus above. Right return: four bays, right cottage, stepped up hill. Each cottage has door outside two-light window with two four-pane sashes above. Stack with off-sets between cottages. Left return, cowhouse: on first floor three pointed-arch recesses each with two sets of paired lancets with oculus over; oversailing eaves.
Interior: stalls for nine cows; barn has queen post trusses with struts.
