House, formerly two cottages, C17 timber-frame and chalk rubble,
formerly thatched, now with concrete tiles and weatherboard between
former attic windows. Ridge stack and north end stack. C20
rendered south end addition. Two storeys, four window range. Four
upper windows, one C20 casement pair, three triple casements,
formerly under eyebrows. Ground floor left is timber-frame with
red brick infill on high chalk plinth. Casement pair, C20 window
in former door and triple casement. Ground floor right is chalk
rubble with angle quoins, door in C20 lean-to and triple casement.
Chalk north end wall. Rear wall has framing covered in
weatherboard, and chalk rubble to left.
Interior: Lobby-entry plan, timber-lintel centre fireplace, spine
beam with run-out stop in north room, bar-stopped spine beam and
wall beams in south room.
