27.11.54
GV II
Manor farmhouse, now 2 dwellings. Dated 1655 in floreated wrought iron
figures on the south gable; rear wing probably later C17 but altered in late
C18/early C19. Red brick, formerly colourwashed. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys
and attic. 3 windows, flush-frame sashes with glazing bars under segmental
arches. The first floor windows occupy substantially the original openings,
with a further original opening at this level now blocked. The ground floor
openings have been altered. Inset 6-panel raised and fielded entrance door
(the upper 2 glazed), panelled reveals, bracketed gabled hood. Brick dentil
eaves cornice. Matching shaped gables with 4 convex curves to each slope;
evidence for blocked windows. Rebuilt gable stacks and one later internal
stack. One-storey C19 range to left. The rear of the main range and the
later wing both have sawtooth eaves cornices.
