- attached engine house),

Sotterley Hall

GV II

Water cower. Late C19. Red brick, with a pyramidal plaintiled roof
surmounted by a wind vane. Square on plan. There are pilaster strips to the
quoins and a corbelled brick band between each floor. Semi-circular arched
doorway with boarded doors. Each of the 2 main upper floors has a single
semi-circular arched opening on the south and west sides only. Above is a
brick cornice and a narrower stage containing the water tanks. Attached is a
mid C19 single-storey engine house: red brick with rusticated quoins to match
the Hall and a corrugated iron roof. There is a Lister oil engine.
