House. Late C17, with earlier core and major alterations of c.1820-1840. 2
storeys and attics. Timber-framed and rough-cast. Slated roof with gable and
internal chimneys of red brick. Early C19 sash windows with moulded lintels
and external louvred shutters at ground floor. To rear left is a fragmentary
single-cell core of C16; this was originally built as an extension to the
adjacent farmhouse, The Cherries. A further 2-cell 2-storey extension was
added to right in late C17. The house was refenestrated early C19 and the
projecting stable and coach house wing was added; of red brick, partly
plastered, with slated roof. It also incorporates a conservatory, with half-
glazed panelled entrance door.
