House, perhaps prebendal. Mediaeval origins - see large blocked arch window
(perhaps C13) in south-west gable. Remodelled late C17, restored mid C19, moder-
nised C20. Coursed rubble with freestone quoins and dressings, Cotswold stone roofs,
coped verge to left-hand side; 2 ridge chimneys to south, paired ashlar shafts with
common cornice, set back ditto to left. Two storeys and attics; 4 gabled dormers.
4:1:1 bays, the right-hand one a mid C19 gabled break with coped verges and kneelers
transomed first floor window of 4 lights, 6-light window on ground floor, relieving
arches; the rest of the house has hollow chamfer mullion windows with drips. Door-
way 5 bays from left, wide with moulded reveals and panelled oak bivalve doors,
bullseye panels above. North-east gable has angled buttress and stepped chimney to
left with weathered off-sets. Interior retains a number of C17 or early C18 fire-
places.
