Farmhouse, late C16 with alterations of several periods. 2 storeys and
attics. Timber-framed and plastered. Plaintiled roof with two C19 gabled
casement dormers. An axial C19 chimney of red brick; two similar internal end
chimneys. Mid C19 3-light casements with small panes; those at ground storey
have square hoodmoulds. Good mid C18 entrance doorway; an open pediment, well
moulded, and sunk pilasters; an 8-panelled door whose lower panels are fielded
and upper panels glazed. A late C19 porch on a painted brick plinth; timber-
framed and ornately glazed in the manner of a small conservatory; the paired
entrance doors are panelled, half-glazed and with an elliptical head. Some
late C16 framing is exposed: chamfered main beams and joists, close-studding,

has good complete mid C18 panelling. Associated with a partial medieval moat,
whose west arm was infilled probably when the present house was built.
