Town Cross. C14. Limestone. Octagonal base with quatrefoil
panels. Octagonal shaft and elaborate carved head consisting of
elongated canopies with figures on corbels. The cross stool at the
High Street crossroads until c1817-20 when it was removed to its
present position without its stepped base. (Scheduled Ancient
Monument Wilts No.656).
