Farmhouse. Late C17 rear block: front range dated 1718 on stack. Coursed
limestone rubble with squared quoins; hipped stone slate roof; brick lateral
stacks to rear. Central staircase plan. 2 storeys and attic; symmetrical
5-window range. Wedged stone lintels over all openings. 8-panelled door with
overlight: late C19/C20 eight pane sashes. Roof dormers have moulded cornices,
hipped roofs and 2-light leaded casements to sides: 2-light ovolo-moulded
wood-mullioned dormer window to rear. Late C17 two-storey range to rear right:
of uncoursed limestone rubble with gabled old tile and stone slate roof, and
stone external stack: late C17 wood-mullioned cross-windows with iron fittings.
Block to rear left of similar materials, remodelled with C18 timber-framed rear
wall with brick infill: 2-storey, 3-window range; C19 casements and
cross-windows and 2-light leaded casements to rear. Interior: C18 panelled
doors. Panelled room to right has bolection-moulded fireplace and overmantle,
and china-closet. Open-well staircase has turned balusters on closed string.
Collar-truss roofs to front and rear left ranges. Chamfered beam in late C17
rear right block.
