House and shop. C16 or early C17. Whitewashed brick and flint
with tiled roof. Two storeys. Three bays. Left two bays between
major stacks have symmetrical C18 shopfront consisting of paned bow
windows and central half-glazed door. Blind box over. First
floor has 12-paned sash windows. Two right of the two bays, 6-
panelled door opposite stack, and third bay beyond has 16-paned
sashes to both floors. C19 timber framed outshut to rear. Deep
eaves. Stacks have diagonally set flue shafts on brick bases to
ridge level, that to left 2 flues, to right 3 flues.
Interior: Shop, now bakers shop, had wattle and daub partition
between original two bays. Left stack has early C17 carved
overmantel and C17 panelling to rear wall refixed in C19.
Chamfered spine beams with large ogee stops.
