Farmhouse. Early C18 front range, later work to rear; modernised and extended
c.1950. Red brick, wooden modillion eaves cornice, hipped plaintiled roof. 2
storeys and attic. Symmetrical 5-bay garden front, the centre bay set
slightly forward: sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames under flat
brick arches. Good doorway with Gibbs surround and pedimented hood on richly
carved wooden brackets; half-glazed door with raised and fielded lower
panels. To the left is a 3-light curved bay of c.1950. 3-bay facade to road,
sashes as garden front, the central doorway now replaced by a window; 2 gabled
dormers. Good C18 pine staircase with turned balusters and carved ends to the
treads. 2 good ground floor fireplaces: one of wood, with detached fluted
columns, and one of marble, decorated with urns.
