Rectory, now house. 1783-5 and 1824 for Sir James Stanhouse,
physician and rector. Rendered, with limestone ashlar dressings,
slate roofs. Two storeys, front of 11 bays, the two end bays with
raised quoins. Bays 3-5 recessed, between bays 1-2 and 6-9. Bays
10-11 added late C19. Twelve-paned sashes with painted reveals,
raised surrounds and floating cornices. Entrance in bay 5, an open
stone porch with flat roof on paired square columns. Six-panelled
door with margin glazed overlight. Wide eaves and roof hipped. On
left return elevation a datestone, perhaps reset, reading J.R.F.
1824. Interior not seen.
