House. Late C17/early C18 and early/mid C18. Coursed limestone rubble and brick;
plain-tile roof. L-plan. Main range one storey plus attics; front wing: 2
storeys. Central 2-panel door with 3-light casement to left under stone lintel
and 3-light dormer. To right, single-unit C18 wing projects, with walls of
Flemish-bond brickwork; openings have segmental arches at ground floors and on
each side at first floor is a cross window. Further cross window in rear of main
range. Interior: Main range has an inglenook fireplace with a flanking winder
stair. House is built onto Ward Cottage (q.v.) of which it may once have formed
part. Forms part of an L-shaped group with Ward Cottage (q.v.) and Coney Cottage
q.v.).
