Farmhouse. C16. Timber-framed and rendered, with remains of comb-patterned
pargetting; old plaintiles. 2 storeys; lobby-entrance. Fully hipped roof.
An internal chimney-stack with a plain rebuilt red brick shaft. 4 2-light
casement windows with a single bar to lights on the upper floor; 5 cross
windows to ground floor. A half-glazed C20 entrance door in a plain surround
has a small flat pediment above. Access not obtained. According to previous
survey in 1962 ground-floor rooms have good exposed ceilings, one with heavy
main beam, triangle stops, and moulded post heads; the other with double roll-
mouldings to main beam and joists. Internal stack tunnelled through for
insertion or C19 stair.
