Farmhouse, c.1570-1600. 3-cell cross-entry plan. 2 storeys. Timber-framed
and plastered in large panels. Hipped concrete-plaintiled roof; an axial
chimney with shaft rebuilt in C19 gault brick. C20 3-light casements with
leaded lights. C20 gabled porch at lobby-entrance position with half-glazed
panelled door. Framing fully exposed; close-studding with a diamond-mullioned
window and evidence for others. Floor joists laid flat, those in the hall
chamfered. Back-to-back open fireplaces. A rear timber-framed wing of late
C18 or early C19.
