4/120 Victoria and Albert public house

GV II

Cottage, now public house. Late C17. Rendered flint rubble,
thatched roof with brick stacks. 2-room C17 cottage with C18 bay
added to west. 2 storeys, 2 windows. 6-panelled door is central-
to C17 part, with thatched C19 porch, to right is 2-light casement
with stone lintel and keystone and to left are two 2-light
casements. First floor has two 2-light casements. Right return
has C20 casement to ground floor. To rear is Cl9 lean-to
extension.
Interior has deep chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops and
blocked open fireplace with timber lintel, to left of fireplace is
planked door to narrow winding staircase. East bar has bolection-
moulded doorcase. 3-bay roof has collars and clasped purlins to
