Farmhouse. Early C17. Timber framed with modern textured render. Roof
plaintiled to front and pantiled to rear. 2 storeys and attic. 3-cell form,
originally with lobby entry. 3 windows, mid C20 large-paned casements. Mid
C20 entrance door into cross-passage. Glazed double doors to left. Internal
stack with plain square shaft, mostly original. External stack to right
gable, set just forward of the ridge. Modernised interior. Plain joists in
hall and at service end. Plain first floor studding. In rear wall 3 original
blocked window openings have separate lintols pegged into the frame, an
unusual feature. In rear wall of parlour an early C19 cupboard with arched
head. The house is surrounded by a medieval moat.
