House, late C16. 2 storeys and attics. 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. 2
storeys and attics. Timber-framed and plastered in C20 panels. Plaintiled
roof with C17/C18 axial chimney of red brick. C19 and C20 casements. C19 6-
panelled door at lobby-entrance position. Typical unmoulded framing; arch-
windbraced studwork, widely-spaced, with evidence for unglazed windows.
Chamfered floor joists, the main beams with deep broach-stopped chamfers and
seated upon unmoulded jowls. Wind-braced clasped-purlin roof. Back-to back
open fireplaces in hall and parlour, the former witha deep cambered lintel.
In late C18 attics were inserted and a continuous outshut with bakehouse added -
to rear.
