Farmhouse, late C16, extended c.1600. One storey and attics, and two storeys.
The house was originally of 3-cell form; a parlour block was added to right
and the hall enlarged out of the earlier parlour block c.1600. Timber-framed
and roughcast. Thatched roof; one C19 casement dormer. An axial chimney of
c.1600 with very narrow pink and buff bricks. A complete set of mid C19
windows with small-paned cast iron casements. C19 gabled porch at cross-entry
position with half-glazed 4-panelled door. The earlier building has close-
studding and plain unchamfered floor joists exposed. The later work has
chamfered joists and beams with lambstongue stops. A blocked diamond-
mullioned window. The later roof has a pair of principal rafters with
collarbeam, and windbraced clasped purlins. A wide lintelled open fireplace
in the hall.
