1671 and later. Originally with courtyard open to street. Hall to south, Court
Room to west (with drawing room above it). Both have good joinery and carving.
Fine staircase. Virtually no original external features. Court room/drawing room
refaced in early C20 and 3 storeyed block built in courtyard; linked by low entrance
and colonnade above. New work well designed in ornamental, northern renaissance
style. Portland stone with 2 dormer storeys in hipped, slated roof. Fine metal
work to entrance. Statue of charity school boy signed Coade and dated 1840 on
west face of hall. Scheduled AM.
