Hotel. Probably C18 with C19 and C20 alterations and extensions. Painted flint
with brick dressings; plain tile roof; brick stacks. L-shaped plan, 2 storeys;
3-window range. 4-panel door to right with probably C19 open wooden porch with
tiled gabled hood. C20 eight-panal door to centre between ground and first
floor; approached by C20 brick steps. Casement to first floor right. Cross-wing
to left; 2-storey, 3-window range to right-hand return. C20 glazed doors to
right. Two C19 casements to centre. Door to left. Two 3-light C19 casements to
first floor centre and right. C19 bow window to first floor left. Hipped roof.
Interior not inspected. C19 single-storey additions to left. The hotel is
situated below street level so that the first floor of the cross-wing is at
ground floor level to road.
