A timber-framed and plastered building with a mediaeval cross wing at
the north-east end and a C16-C17 main block. Roof tiled. Renovated.
Two storeys. The ground storey has exposed timber-framing and the upper
storey is jettied on the whole front, the cross wing at a slightly lower
level than the main block, on curved brackets with the carved capitals
of former shafts. The cross wing bargeboards are carved with thistle
or teazle, emblem of the wool trade. Three window range of modern casements
with glazing bars. Four-panel doors. The interior has moulded beams
and an open fireplace.
