Early C19 adaptation of later C18 front range. 3 storeys with 2 storey wing
to right and single storey wing to left. Red brick with stone band over ground
floor of main part and hipped slate roofs. Main part has 5 ranges of windows,
centre 3 break forward slightly (plank shutters on 1st floor). Glazing bar
windows, casements on 2nd floor, sashes to rest. Later central gabled brick
porch with footstones, coped verges and flanking foot scrapers; clock in gable,
segmental entrance arch with stone key and pointed side windows. 2 storey
wing has 3 ranges of segmental headed glazing bar sashes with stone keys.
Left hand wing has 3 ranges of windows with segmental heads (also glazing
bar sashes). Main part has 5 window extension to rear, the 4th bay a very
wide angled 3 storey bay repeated on both sides of extension. Dwarf reverse
quadrant walls with arrowhead railings and central gates with cast iron piers.
End piers stone with moulded caps.
