Inn. Mid C18, extended 1840, rear part c1800. Random rubble stone
early build, rest limestone ashlar, Bridgwater tiled roof with
stone stacks. Gable end to road, rear wing part of row including
Nos 78 and 79 (q.v.). Two-storey, 3-window west front. C20 gabled
porch left of centre, 3-light recessed cyma-mullioned casement to
right and 3-light beaded mullioned casement to left. First floor
has 3-light and 4-light beaded mullioned casements and C20 top-hung
casement; right hand bay is 1840 addition and windowless. Right
return has planked door and small tripartite sash to ground floor,
12-pane first floor sash with 1840 inscribed on datestone over.
Rear 3-storey wing has planked door to ground floor cellar of inn
with single-light first and second floor casements.
Interior has stone open fireplace with depressed Tudor-arched
lintel.
