No 10 (Angel Inn) now comprises the north wing of a C16 timber-framed
house built on an L shaped plan with wings extending to the north and
east. The gabled wing at the north end which extends to the east is a
later building which is now incorporated into the Angel Inn. (The east
wing of the original house is now Nos 12 and 14). 2 storeys. The main
block was re-fronted in the C18-C19 and has 2 window range of double-hung
sashes with single vertical glazing bars and a central doorway with architrave
and a cornice on console brackets. The wing at the north end is gabled
on the front and has a jettied upper storey. 1 window range with a 3-light
leaded casement on the lst storey and a small canted bay on the ground
storey with double-hung sashes. Roofs tiled. The main block is hipped
at the north end.
