Late C14/early C15 "Wealden" house with open hall (not floored) with queen post roof with arched braces and with two storeyed bays at each end. Plastered timber-frame. Hipped thatched roof. Central hall with large six-light mullion window, two storeys at each end with small three- and four-light mullion windows. All windows replicas of original, one original four-light mullion window at rear. Doorway on right of hall to screens passage with modern oak door and arch.
Interior: the screen has been removed, but there are two shouldered arch doorways in the screens passage to the service room and the room above. Later lean-to on west end. Large modern one storey flat roofed wing at rear (north).
