Public house. Early C19 remodelling of a C18 building, altered late C19. Brick, part painted and part stuccoed with mainly hipped plain tiled roofs and gable-end parapet with kneelers to south-west. Square plan comprised of two main ranges to north and west with later addition in south-east angle. Two storeys and attic with dormers. Main north elevation: Three and a half bays. There is a twelve-pane sash with a basket-arched head, a four-pane sash with a cambered head, a blocked window and a blocked archway with a cambered head on the ground floor and three twelve-pane sashes and an eight-pane sash, all with basket-arched heads on the first floor. Main entrance at centre of three-bay part has a gabled canopy on shaped brackets and a partly glazed C20 door. Two C19 former shop fronts to south elevation.
